GoFundMe has reportedly created 1.4 million donation pages for nonprofits nationwide using publicly available information from the IRS and other sources. Many organizations, including nonprofits, churches, and other entities, did not sign up for or create these pages.
As a result, donors searching for an organization may land on a GoFundMe page that the organization does not control.

- Search Google using your organization’s name + “donate” + “GoFundMe.”
- If you find an unauthorized page, claim it and disable public fundraising immediately.
