Susan Meyer, who regularly visits the prison with her therapy dog Lucy, organized the St. Joan of Arc, Pflugerville clothing drive for recently released inmates from the Travis County Correctional Center. Because of COVID-19 precautions, Meyer cannot visit with her dog, so she organized the clothing drive instead. The congregation collected clothing on Christmas Eve to distribute in January. Suitable clothing is a vital element of the reentry process after incarceration, and these donations can transform lives.
