Galveston residents were hit hard by Winter Storm Uri. In response, St. Vincent’s House coordinated a mass multi-agency “pop-up” recovery & distribution event on Friday, March 5. The collaborating organizations were able to provide food, water, cleaning and hygiene supplies, and clothing. The Lighthouse Charity Team cooked and served over 1600 hot meals. Cars lined up for 20 blocks, and 75 volunteers served 349 households and 1,456 people.
